TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

The boat ride along the river of Tsiribihina, the hike in Tsingy de Bemaraha famous for its picturesque limestone pinnacles, the unique ‘Baobab Alley’ of Morondava provides a new life experience….just way to go!!!

 

DAY 1: TANA

Landed on Ivato international airport, you will be welcomed by one of our members representing our company who will show you to your private car transferring you to your hotel for check-in. Overnight: Chalet des Roses

DAY 2: TANA – ANTSIRABE

We set off southwards heading to Antsirabe following the national route 7. You shall have optional stop at Ambatolampy to see aluminum pot casting. When arriving at Antsirabe, visit the surrounding areas and various workshops of semi and precious stones. Overnight: Couleur Café

DAY 3: ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO

This morning after breakfast, we depart to Miandrivazo located roughly 220 km west of Antsirabe. This is the starting point for boat trip along the Tsiribihina River. There will be stops en route contemplating nice viewpoint, encounter with the locals and other stops arranged by your guide. Overnight: Princesse de Tsiribihina

DAY 4: MIANDRIVAZO – masekapy – waterfall

This morning, we will drive to Masekapy. When arriving at Masekapy, board on a boat going to the waterfall. We shall have a window of opportunities along this river trip expecting to see not only the landscapes but also animals like birds, chameleons, various species of lemurs including the sifakas and the brown lemurs. Overnight: Camping

DAY 5: WATERFALL – BELO SUR tsiribihina

After breakfast, back to the barge sailing down the Tsiribihina while passing several traditional villages. We shall stop by Berevo village in hope to learn about their daily life and cultures. When we get by the small port of Belo Sur Tsiribihina, we get off and then drive to Belo Tsiribihina, the cultural capital of the Sakalava tribe. Overnight: Karibo Hotel

DAY 6: BELO SUR TSIRIBIHINA – TSINGY

This morning, we drive to Bekopaka with stops en route. Bekopaka is the village just by the national park of Bemaraha where the picturesque view of the limestone pinnacles will surprise visitors because of its natural beauty and the exceptional biodiversity it possesses. Overnight: Orchidée de Bemaraha

DAY 7: TSINGY VISIT

Explore both the Petit Tsingy and Grand Tsingy. The whole protected area, comprising a surface of 1.575 km square was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. While hiking in the park, you will observe the beauty of these limestone pinnacles, a hike leading you through narrow gauge, climbing on top (harness is a must), walking on a suspended bridge, and toward the cathedral where you may spot lemurs, the Giant rat, the Giant coua, Madagascar green pigeon, and many more. Overnight: Orchidée de Bemaraha

DAY 8: TSINGY – MORONDAVA

After breakfast, we depart back to Morondava. There will be stops though at the ‘amorous baobab’, the Baobab Alley where you can have a nice photo at sunset time. Baobabs are distinctive trees adapted to thrive in harsh conditions. Overnight: Chez Maggie

 

DAY 9: MORONDAVA – TANA

Transfer to the airport for flight back to Tana. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Chalet des Roses

 

DAY 10: DEPARTURE BACK HOME

City tour exploring the capital to learn a lot about its colorful culture, palaces, huge cathedral and a time to go shopping at the famous Digue market for crafts, stones, raffia, and so forth. Then, transfer to the airport for flight heading back home.

Southern Trekking

This south tour discovers the undiscovered places abounded with unique cultures and traditions during the trekking while contemplating marvelous sceneries, observing abundant species of lemurs, birds nested in Andasibe reserve.

DAY 1: TANA (ARRIVAL)

Upon arrival at Ivato international airport, you will be met by a representative of our company who shall welcome you at the Hall. And then you will be transferred to your hotel located downtown. Overnight: Brajas Hotel

 

DAY 2: TANA – AMBOSITRA                            

Today you depart southwards to Ambositra passing by Antsirabe. Throughout the day you pass through a variety of highland scenery with an optional stop at Ambatolampy to see aluminium pot casting. When arriving in Antsirabe, drive southwards heading to Manandona where you start the hike visiting some rural traditional villages, some workshops, old palace while contemplating magnificent landscape. After the trekking, back to the car and then continue to Ambositra. Ambositra is the center of woodcarvings. Visit some shops for souvenirs. Overnight: Artisan hotel

DAY 3: AMBOSITRA – ANTOETRA                 

After breakfast, depart to Antoetra, taking approximately two hours. Arriving, you shall start the trekking along the mountainous trails. The visit will be focused on some local traditional houses in hope to learn about their cultures and their daily life. Besides, when reaching Ifasina, home of the Zafimaniry tribe, this place will show you the value of their architecture, their beliefs and cultures. And then, return to your car taking you to your hotel. Overnight: Sous le Soleil

DAY 4: ANTOETRA – RANOMAFANA

This morning, we set off to Ranomafana national park. Stop en route contemplating amazing landscapes, taking photo, and then a stop at Namorona waterfall. Overnight: Karibo hotel

DAY 5: RANOMAFANA VISIT – FIANARANTSOA

We delve into the forest in search of endemic animals such as birds, reptiles, lemurs and plants. Ranomafana is the home of the rare and endangered Golden bamboo lemur, Greater bamboo lemur, Milne Edward’s lemur, Eastern bamboo lemurs and other animals like the eerie satanic leaf-tailed gecko, ring-tailed mangoose and many more. After the visit, we depart to Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo tribe. Overnight: Zomatel

DAY 6: FIANARANTSOA – ANDRINGITRA

This morning, we leave Fianarantsoa departing southwards to Ambalavao, famous for its paper fabric, weaving, zebu market and Anja reserve. We visit this reserve home of the ring-tail lemurs. After the visit, we continue driving towards Andringitra national park. Overnight: Gite d’Andringitra

DAY 7: ANDRINGITRA

This day is the start of our trekking, following the Diavolana hike that unveils the real beauty of Andringitra national Park; also, it is called the moon landscape due to its view on rock formation and landscape. Camping on full board

DAY 8: ANDRINGITRA                         

We leave in the morning around 8 a.m. hiking further high reaching the ‘Pic Bobby’, second highest peak in Madagascar, offering a superb view and a breathtaking panorama on smooth granite blocks dominated by nice landscape of terraced rice paddies of the Betsileo tribe. After lunch, hike down leading to the camping site. Camping on full board

DAY 9: ANDRINGITRA – TSARANORO                                  

Today, after breakfast, we are hiking down to Tsaranoro valley. We shall have the chance to enjoy the landscape in this area. Ring-tails and many other animals make home in this park. We cross some local villages contemplating majestic mountains of Tsaranoro. Overnight: Camp Catta

DAY 10: TSARANORO – ISALO

We leave Tsaranoro departing southwards to Isalo national park. The landscape changes into more savanna and grassland. You shall reach Ranohira, the village close to the park late in the afternoon and then settle in your hotel. Overnight: H1 Hotel

DAY 11: ISALO VISIT

We start the hike following the trail that unveils impressive canyons. The trekking leads to the famous “La Piscine Naturelle”, a natural swimming pool fed by crystal clear streams. You can spend few moments to refresh (do not forget your swimming gear if tempted). Then, we continue our hike following the “Namaza trail”, leading to the camping site where three species of lemurs (the browns, the ring-tails and the dancing sifakas) drop by expecting food and come for drink. DAY 12: ISALO – IFATY

After breakfast, we drive to Tuléar, the capital of the Vezo fishing people. On our way, we pass by many villages formed by the sapphire rush. Besides, the famous Mahafaly tombs and Baobab trees abound all along the way between Sakaraha and Tuléar. The Mahafaly tombs have distinct cultural traits of this typical southern tribe, whose tombs display images that represent the daily life or dreams of the deceased. We shall have lunch in Tuléar and then continue driving to Ifaty. Overnight: Belle Vue

DAY 13: IFATY

You have full day at leisure during your whole stay in Ifaty. However, some activities can be arranged by your hotel, on your charge. Ifaty grants you a relaxing place by the beach where you can go diving, snorkeling, take a dugout canoe ride with the Vezo fishermen. Besides, Ifaty spiny forest abounded by extraordinary vegetation of euphorbia, didieracea, and aloes is another important place to see the giant baobabs, the nocturnal southern sportive lemurs, some endemic birds like the Sub-desert mesite, the Running coua found nowhere else. DAY 14: IFATY – TANA

Depart back to Tuléar and then transfer to the airport for flight taking you to Tana. And then, upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Brajas Hotel

DAY 15: TANA – ANDASIBE

Set off east to Andasibe Reserve passing through highland scenery and rice paddies. Along the journey, you will enjoy various sceneries from highlands to rice fields and small cluttered traditional villages mostly perched on hill sides. The road is steep and winding; with lush vegetation until you reach Andasibe, home of the Indri, the biggest lemur in Madagascar. Upon arrival, visit the Vakona reserve harboring five species of lemurs such as, the black-and-white ruffed lemur, the eastern bamboo lemur, the ring-tails, the browns and the dancing diademed sifaka. You will have fun during your visit here since lots of dance performances, photo-ops and a close encounter with the lemurs will entertain your day. And then, back to the car taking you to your hotel. DAY 16: ANDASIBE – TANA

After breakfast, we explore the reserve of Analamazoatra where the Indri and other species of lemurs, birds, reptiles and so forth dwell in this primary and secondary forest. Be ready to take lots of photo recording the haunting calls of the indri for a final walk in Andasibe before heading back to the capital. You shall reach Tana late in the afternoon and settle in your hotel close to the airport. Overnight: San Cristobal

Tana Surrounding

Tana and its nearby is the starting point to observe certain species of lemurs found in Lemurs’ Park, while exploring and learning about the Malagasy cultures, presenting a deep understanding of their origin, their political foundation, traditions and custom when visiting the king and queen palaces.

DAY 2: TANA – LEMURS’ PARK

This morning, we will depart to Lemurs’ Park. This park harbors many species of lemurs, some of which are freely performing their dances and leaping from branches to branches. Others are settled in a cage including the rarest ones like the aye-aye and other tiny mouse lemurs. After the visit, drive back to town and then city tour taking you to the old queen palace, picturesque catholic cathedral, the lake Anosy and then the Zoma market. Overnight: Chalet des Roses

DAY 3: TANA – AMBOHIMANGA ROVA VISIT

This morning, we drive to Ambohimanga, the King palace. This palace records old history of the Merina tribe where the first king reigned. Besides, this is the best place to learn a lot about the beginning and the philosophical cultures of the Malagasy people, a deep understanding of their origin, its political foundation, traditions and custom. Drive back to town and then, visit the Digue market for souvenirs where you can find interesting products made from raffia, zebu horns, woodcarvings, semi-precious stones, traditional embroideries, and many more. After shopping, drive to your hotel near the airport. Overnight: Gassy Country House

DAY 4: DEPARTURE BACK HOME

Safari night walk (as extra) in search of night active animals including mouse lemurs, fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, eastern wooly lemurs, smallest chameleons, and so forth. DAY 4(18 November): TANA – AMBER MOUNTAIN (06:00 – 7:55)          

Transfer to the airport to take a flight going to Diego. Arriving in Diego, depart to Amber Mountain national park. Overnight: Nature Lodge

DAY 5(19 November): AMBER MOUNTAIN VISIT – ANKARANA 

We devote the morning exploring the forest in search of endemic animals. The tiny ground chameleons known as Brookesia minima, Amber mountain rock thrush, Ring tailed mangoose, Crowned lemur,Sanfords brown lemurs,beautiful waterfalls, orchids, and so many more are among the interests of today’s hike. After the visit, drive to Ankarana reserve passing by Diego. Overnight: Ankarana Lodge

DAY 6(20 November): ANKARANA VISIT

We have full day visiting the reserve of Ankarana. This reserve is famous for its limestone pinnacles, bat caves where stalagmite and stalactites abound, following the rocky track when criss-crossing the reserve. Besides, there are many birds nesting in this reserve including the crested coua, Sickle billed vanga, Madagascar buttonquail and many more. Also, common browns, mouse lemurs and other species dwell in this reserve. Overnight: Ankarana Lodge

DAY 7(21 November): ANKARANA – NOSY BE

After breakfast, we depart to Nosy be passing by Ankify where we shall take a fast motor boat transferring us to Nosy be. Nosy be is internationally famous for its beautiful beaches, a good place for diving and other activities. Overnight: Belvedere

DAY 8(22 November): NOSY BE

The whole day is yours at leisure. However, there are many activities that can be arranged from your hotel. Among which, a visit at Nosy Tanikely, a good place for snorkeling, and stop by the lighthouse near which there are flocks of bats and birds. Overnight: Belvedere

DAY 9(23 November): NOSY BE

Also, another day set at leisure. You can arrange activities visiting the surrounding islets nearby including the Nosy Komba, home of the black lemur. At this place, a village walk is possible as well. Overnight: Belvedere

DAY 10(24 November): NOSY BE – TANA (11:10 – 11:45)

You will be transferred to the airport taking you back to Tana. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and then transferred to your hotel: Overnight: Chalet des Roses

DAY 11(25 November): DEPARTURE BACK HOME

We have a city tour visiting the capital including its busiest area where the famous Zoma market is, with lots of foreign visitors, and then drive to the upper town visiting the old queen palace, the catholic cathedral, the lake Anosy before taking you to Digue, the shopping center for souvenirs where you can find products made from raffia, woodcarvings, semi-precious stones, and so forth. After the city tour, transfer to the airport to catch a flight taking you back home.

Rain Forest Birding

Rainforest parks harbor a great deal of endemic birds (the Ground rollers, the Asity, the Mesites and the Couas without forgetting the Serpent Eagle are on the top of the list) and lemurs (the indri, dancing sifakas, mouse lemurs, etc.) found nowhere else but in Madagascar.

DAY 3: ANTSIRABE – RANOMAFANA

We depart today heading to Ranomafana; stop at Ambositra, the capital of woodcarving. Visit some workshops and then you can go shopping at some shops. After lunch, continue driving to Ranomafana. Stop at Namorona waterfall. Drive to your hotel for overnight at Karibo Hotel.

DAY 4: RANOMAFANA (VOHIPARARA VISIT)

You have a full day visit in Vohiparara forest accompanied by your guides in search of several species of birds, 12 species of lemur and 90 species of butterflies. Besides, there are 98 species of amphibians and 62 species of reptiles such as chameleons, and so on. The Pitta like ground roller and other endemic birds like the Brown mesite, Velvet asity, Stripe-throated jerry, Common newtonia, Dark newtonia, Long-billed Tretraka, Malagasy kingfisher, Red capped coua, Forest rock thrush, etc. nest in this park. DAY 5: RANOMAFANA VISIT – ANTSIRABE

We explore the morning in search of not only birds but also other animals. Ranomafana is the only place where we can observe the Golden bamboo lemur, Greater bamboo lemur, Milne Edwards sifaka, and few species of reptiles, frogs, satanic leaf-tailed gecko, ring-tailed mangoose, and of course birds like the Velvety asity, Crested ibis, and so forth. After the visit, we drive back to Antsirabe. Overnight: Le Voyageur

DAY 6: ANTSIRABE – TANA

This morning, city tour and then we depart back to Tana with stops en route. Settle in your hotel for overnight at Chalet des Roses

DAY 7: TANA – ANDASIBE

Depart to Andasibe taking approximately 3.5 hour drive. Stop at Mangoro River to spot some birds on the bank of the River such as Madagascar Pratincole, Common sandpiper, Malachite kingfisher and many more. On arrival, visit the famous Vakona Reserve where five species of lemurs such as the black-and white ruffed lemur, the browns, the ring-tail lemur, the modest eastern bamboo lemur and the diademed sifaka can be seen in this reserve. DAY 8: ANDASIBE (MANTADIA NATIONAL PARK)

We drive to Mantadia national park in search of endemic birds nesting in this park. The bird list of today includes, Pitta like ground roller, Scaly ground roller, Red breasted coua, Red fronted coua, Madagascar Nightjar, White-throated Oxylabes, Velvety asity, Yellow bellied asity, spectacular Red Fody, Broad billed roller, Cuckoo roller, Madagascar serpent eagle, Madagascar Ibis, Madagascar starling, etc. Lunch and then drive back to your hotel. Overnight: Andasibe hotel

DAY 9: ANDASIBE (ANALAMAZOATRA RESERVE) – TANA

After breakfast, visit Analamazoatra reserve harboring many species of birds such as the nuthatch vanga, Blue vanga, Madagascar fluff tail, Madagascar Wood rail, Madagascar Cuckoo shrike, Madagascar buzzard, Short-legged ground roller, Red-shouldered vanga, Nelicourvi weaver, Blue Coua, White throated rail, Madagascar harrier hawk, Frances sparrow hawk and many more. DAY 3: IFATY

Set off early in the morning by 5 a.m. visiting Ifaty spiny forest. Ifaty is home of the long-tailed Running coua, Chaberts vanga, Red-shouldered vanga, Sickle-billed vanga, Sub-desert Mesite, Madagascar Nightjar, Green-capped coua, Red-capped coua, Lafreysnaye’s vanga, Common Newtonia, Archbolds Newtonia, Hook-billed vanga, Sub-desert brush-warbler, Madagascar Harrier hawk, Sakalava Weaver, Madagascar Fody, etc. In the afternoon, you can relax by the beach or explore the village to see and learn how fishermen do their daily business when taking offshore their catch, fresh and plenty. DAY 4: IFATY – TSIMANAMPETSOTSE

We drive back to Tuléar and then transfer to Anakao boarding in a fast motor boat taking approximately one and half hour. Upon arrival, we depart to Tsimanampetsotse national park taking roughly three hour drive. Overnight: Relais d’Ambola

DAY 5: TSIMANAMPETSOTSE

This protected area is composed of a coastal forest, a limestone plateau, with a sandy lake and several caves some of which are accessible. We have the whole day visiting this park in search of the Red-tailed vanga, Madagascar plover, Greater and Lesser flamingo, Red knobbed coot, Verreauxi Couas and so forth. Besides, this is the only place that harbors the blind fish. After the visit, we drive back to your hotel. Overnight: Relais d’Ambola

DAY 6: TSIMANAMPETSOTSE – ANAKAO

Early morning breakfast and then drive back to Anakao. Upon arrival, immediate boat ride heading to Nosy Ve, home of the Red-tailed tropic bird, Sanderling, White-fronted Plover, Great Crested-Tern, Lesser Crested-Tern, etc. Also, Nosy Ve’s fine white sand, very clean beach, crystal clear water is a good place for snorkeling in order to spot plethora species of colorful fish underwater. Back to your hotel, and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight: Anakao Ocean Lodge

DAY 7: ANAKAO – TANA

Early morning transfer back to Tuléar. Then, transfer to the airport for flight back to Tana. Overnight: San Cristobal

DAY 8: TANA – ANKARAFANTSIKA

Morning drive along the national road number 4. Stops en route in hope to spot some birds including the Madagascar kestrel, Madagascar reunion harrier, Squacco heron, Little egret, Black egret, Green-backed heron, Black-crowned night heron, and so many more. You arrive at Ampijoroa forest station early evening. Overnight: Bungalow

DAY 9: ANKARAFANTSIKA

We set off for a whole visit day in search of birds listed among our today’s agenda. This dry deciduous forest is located at 462 km north of Antananarivo. There are 103 species of birds recorded here, among which the most localized are Madagascar Fish-Eagle, Schlegel’s Asity, Van Dam’s Vanga, Coquerel’s Coua,  Madagascar Jacana, Rufous vanga,  White-Breasted Mesite, White-headed Vanga, Frances’ sparrow hawk, Malagasy Scoops-Owl, Madagascar lesser cuckoo, African darter, Common greenshank, Purple heron, Madagascar crested Ibis, Malagasy Pond-heron, Madagascar button-quail,  Madagascar Buzzard,   Madagascar sparrow hawk, Cuckoo-roller,Broad-billed roller,  etc. Overnight: Bungalow

DAY 10: ANKARAFANTSIKA – TANA

After breakfast, we drive back to Tana. Lunch somewhere and then few stops can be arranged by your guide along the road. Overnight: San Cristobal

DAY 11: FLY HOME

We have city tour this morning in order to learn about the capital and its people, their cultures, their daily life and so on. Some visit will be focused on areas settled in the upper town, visiting the old queen palace, picturesque cathedral, the lake Anosy and the busiest central part where the famous Zoma market is located, seeing bunch of foreign visitors, with good European architectures. Then, drive to Route Digue, a recommended place for souvenirs including products made from raffia, zebu horns, woodcarvings, semi-precious stones, local made tee-shirts, and so on. Eastern Wonders

Both Palmarium and Andasibe show off their unique possession of rare lemurs, the only place to observe the black indri, the eerie looking aye-aye and the dancing sifaka entertaining visitors during their performance. An opportunity certainly not to be missed!!

DAY 1: TANA (ARRIVAL)                                                                                                            

Upon arrival in Antananarivo (Tana in short), you will be met and welcomed by a representative from our company. And then, you shall have your private car taking you to your hotel. Overnight: Grand Hotel Urban

DAY 2: TANA – PALMARIUM

Set off for a long drive to Ankanin’ny Nofy (also called Palmarium) settled along the man-made Lake Rasoabe along the waterway called the Canal of Pangalanes. Arriving at Manambato, we depart to Palmarium in a speed boat taking roughly an hour. Overnight: Palmarium Lodge

DAY 3: PALMARIUM

Palmarium has a reserve where some species of lemurs are found there. This is the best place to see the aye-aye and other species of animals. Beside, Palmarium is a haven for relaxation, with its pretty seaside and lush green vegetation. You will surely enjoy the visit walking through the forest while accompanied by your local guide who will help you spot as many animals as possible. A group of indri, sifakas, red lemurs, black lemurs, crowned lemurs and black and white ruffed lemurs can be observed easily. Overnight: Parlmarium Lodge

DAY 4: PALMARIUM – ANDASIBE

After breakfast, embark on a fast motor boat heading to Andasibe national park. In the afternoon, visit the famous Vakona Reserve where five species of lemurs such as the black and white ruffed lemur, the browns, the ring-tails, the modest eastern bamboo lemur and the diademed sifaka can be seen easily. Overnight: Andasibe Hotel

DAY 5: ANDASIBE

We set off for a morning visit at Analamazoatra reserve, home of the biggest lemur, ‘Indri’. Besides, this reserve certainly grants lots of photo opportunities seeing various animals, birds, and reptiles like the Parson chameleon, the tiny ground chameleon, and other species of lemurs. Safari night walk (as extra) in search of night active animals including mouse lemurs, fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, eastern wooly lemurs, smallest chameleons, and so forth. Overnight: Andasibe Hotel

DAY 6: ANDASIBE – TANA

We head back to Tana, with stops en route along this eastern mountainous road. Then, upon arrival, continue for an afternoon city tour visiting the upper town and lower town in downtown Tana, including the queen palaces, the old picturesque cathedral and then the lake Anosy. DAY 4: FOULPOINTE – SAINTE MARIE

Early morning departure to Soanierana Ivongo passing by Mahambo; continue driving until you reach Soanierana Ivongo where we will embark on a fast motor boat for transfer to Sainte Marie. Sainte Marie is known for its calm and wonderful incomparable beach offering lots of activities to do, such as humpback whale watching or enjoy a walk along the beautiful sandy beach. DAY 5: SAINTE MARIE

After breakfast, embark on a fast motor boat for a full day of whale watching trip accompanied by your local guides. DAY 4: AMBOSITRA – ANTOETRA

After breakfast, we drive to Antoetra village where we start the trekking along the mountainous trails. The visit will be focused on some local traditional houses in hope to learn about their cultures and their daily life. Besides, when reaching Ifasina, home of the Zafimaniry tribe, this place will show you the value of their architectures, their beliefs and cultures. And then, walk back to your car taking you to your hotel. Overnight: Sous le Soleil

DAY 5: ANTOETRA – RANOMAFANA

This morning, we set off to Ranomafana national park. Stop en route, offering amazing landscapes, and then a stop at Namorona waterfall. Overnight: Karibo Hotel

DAY 6: RANOMAFANA – FIANARANTSOA

We explore the morning in search of endemic animals. Ranomafana is the only place where we can observe the Golden bamboo lemur, Greater bamboo lemur, Milne Edwards sifaka, and few species of reptiles, satanic leaf-tailed gecko, frogs, and of course birds like the Velvety asity, Crested ibis, and so forth. After the visit, lunch and then we depart to Fianarantsoa, capital of the Betsileo tribe. Overnight: Zomatel

DAY 7: FIANARANTSOA – MANAKARA                      

Early morning transfer to the railway station taking us to Manakara. The landscape along this eastern patch is rewarding where you shall contemplate beautiful scenery of vanilla plantation, coffee plantation, banana plantation abounding all along this area. Besides, you will be learning a lot and get sound knowledge of local people, their daily life, culture and so forth. Arrival, you will be picked up and then transfer to your hotel. DAY 8: MANAKARA – MANANJARY                            

We set off to Mananjary, settled along the seaside. We shall have stops en-route visiting some places and get in touch with the locals to learn more about their cultures. DAY 9: MANANJARY – NOSY VARIKA

After breakfast, we embark on a boat heading to Nosy Varika which may take roughly 8 to 10 hours. We have lunch in a boat. The ride provides a good chance to experience rural Malagasy life, traditions, culture, visits of certain places, and so forth. DAY 10: NOSY VARIKA – MAHANORO

As early as possible, leave Nosy Varika and then board on a boat taking you to Mahanoro. The ride is rewarding though a bit long and tiresome. However, the landscape along the canal is extraordinary where lots of birds including the Madagascar red fody, Herons, Terns, Madagascar coucal, etc. Besides, we have some stops along the canal including a visit at a vanilla plantation, the right moment to learn about how the local farmers grow vanilla.
